Yamato Indigo Garment Dye Kit
This kit includes everything you need to create a larger indigo dye vat (10–17 liters), capable of dyeing approximately 1 kg of cotton, linen, or silk. It is ideal for dyeing garments such as long-sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, pants, canvas sneakers, or multiple smaller items like bandanas or pillowcases.
Once the vat becomes exhausted, simply add soda ash and sodium hydrosulfite to revive it and continue dyeing. The included 30% pure vinegar and fixative help enhance color retention and preserve the depth of the indigo hue.
Perfect for large-scale dye projects, indigo dye parties, and workshops. Easy to use and beginner-friendly.

Note:
Yamato Indigo is made by blending natural and synthetic indigo with reducing agents, similar to pre-reduced indigo. It is not 100% natural indigo.
We recommend using approximately 5% Yamato Indigo based on the total weight of the items you plan to dye. It is also important to prepare a vat large enough to fully and comfortably submerge your items without overly diluting the dye.
As a general guideline, we recommend using the dye vat within the same day. If you need to store it, transfer the vat to a completely sealed container and keep it in a cool place. Please note that the dye strength will gradually weaken over time.
We recommend using the dye powder within 6 months of purchase for best results.
